Randolph to investigate contamination on pro-
perty she owns at 540 West Scotts Avenue, Stockton, California.
This property has been used by the Acme-Stockton Galvanizing
Companyin its production of galvanized metal parts.
The attached report contains the results of investigations
conducted to date. Since the investigations show that
con-tamination is present, primarily in the form of zinc, the
report also contains a proposed remedial action.
It is requested that you review the attached information and
remedial action plan. Since Ms. Randolph has been approached
by persons wishing to purchase the property, the purpose of
the remedial action is to mitigate future liability to
Ms. Randolph and any property buyer to the greatest extent
possible. Also, due to the pending property sale, a timely
resolution of this issue is necessary.
In order to expedite the development of an acceptable remedial
action plan, please direct your comments on the proposed action
to me. I will call you in a few days to answer any questions
you may have.
Thank you.for your consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,<z6c,
RICHARD FEHLER
Regulatory Specialist
RF:tg
Attachment
cc: Sheridan Randolph
Laurie Cotulla, San Joaquin Local Health District
Marge Rauch, California Department of Health Services
