MONITORING AND REPO*G PROGRAM NO. 5-01-148 • -4- <br /> FOX VALLEY CORPORATION <br /> AND FOX RIVER PAPER COMPANY <br /> RIPON MILL <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Sample Type of Sampling <br /> Constituent Location Units Sample Frequency <br /> Freeboard ASB No. 2 feet - - Monthly <br /> Standard Minerals ASB No. 2 mg/1 Grab Annually <br /> The exposed portion of the surface impoundment shall be inspected monthly. Monthly <br /> inspection reports shall be submitted with quarterly monitoring reports and shall include a <br /> description of the condition of the wastewater management facilities and any changes in <br /> appearance from the previous month. <br /> GROUND WATER MONITORING <br /> The water level in each monitoring well shall be measured quarterly. Data from water level <br /> measurements shall be used to construct ground water contour maps showing the direction of <br /> ground water flow in the aquifer beneath the Ripon Mill property. Ground water contour maps <br /> shall be submitted with the quarterly monitoring reports. Contour maps shall be constructed <br /> using feet above mean sea level. <br /> The ground water monitoring system will include the following monitoring and process wells: <br /> OB 1 through 28, TH 1-11, M-7-A, M-7-13, M-11-A, M-11-B, M-11-C, M-19-C, M-20-C, <br /> M-20-D, PW-4, PW-5, PW-6, PW-7, and PW-8. <br /> The Discharger may propose, for approval, modifications in the monitoring system. Such <br /> modifications may include removal of monitoring wells from the system and replacement with <br /> existing wells or new wells. Monitoring wells proposed for permanent deletion from the system <br /> shall be properly destroyed in accordance with the requirements of the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services and the State of California Department of Water Resources. <br /> Ground water at each monitoring well shall be analyzed for pH, Electrical Conductivity, water <br /> level (above mean sea level), and turbidity in the field. <br /> Quarterly laboratory tests shall be made on samples from the following wells: OB-1 through <br /> OB-28, TH-1, TH-2, TH-4 through TH-11, M-19-C, and PW-4. Parameters to be tested are: <br /> Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), chloride, sulfate, nitrate, and sodium. All laboratory parameters <br /> shall be reported in milligrams per liter. <br /> Annual laboratory tests shall be made on samples from the following wells: OB-1 through <br /> OB-28, TH-1, TH-2, TH-4 through TH-11, M-10-C, M-11-C, and PW-4, PW-5, PW-6, PW-7, <br /> and PW-8.
