Upper flow zone well TH-9 had TCE at
0.6 µg/1, cisl,2-DCE at 0.2 µg/l, and vinyl chloride at 1.7 gg/l. Intermediate well TH-10 had TCE at 46 µg/1,
cis1,2-DCE at 120 µg/l, and vinyl chloride at 170 µg/l, and 1,1-DCE at 2.1 µg/1. VOCs were not detected in
the following wells: Production wells #6, #7, and# 8; and monitoring wells TH-1, TH-2, and TH-7.
Data plot for sulfate versus time for both TH-7 and TH-8 look suspicious for the first quarter of 2000. Please
check and confirm these data points.
The laboratory noted that some of the samples were received past the holding time for pH. The laboratory
must analyse pH within 24 hours of sampling. Analysing past holding time compromises the validity of the
analytical data. Please ensure that samples are received by the laboratory within specified time frames.
Include the purge records within an appendix. Monitor and records the field parameters (Temp, EC, and pH)
during the purge to ensure uniformity in sampling technique and complete purge for each well.
RWQCB Staff Signature:
Date: 8 January 2001
