Effluent Limitations: <br /> 1 . The discharge of effluent from the first aeration stabili- <br /> zation in excess of the following, is prohibited: <br /> 30-day Daily <br /> Constituent Units Average Maximum <br /> TDS mg/l 1100 2112 <br /> 2. The 30-day average dry weather discharge shall not exceed 30 <br /> million gallons. <br /> 3. The maximum daily discharge shall not exceed 2 million gallons. <br /> C. Discharge Specifications: <br /> 1. Objectionable odors originating at this facility shall not be <br /> perceivable beyond the limits of the property boundaries. <br /> 2. As a means of discerning compliance with Discharge Specifi- <br /> cation No. 1 , the dissolved oxygen content in the upper zone <br /> (1 foot) of wastewater in ponds shall not be less than <br /> 1 .0 mg/l . <br /> 3. The treatment facilities shall be designed, constructed, <br /> operated, and maintained to prevent inundation or washout due <br /> to floods with a 100-year return frequency. <br /> 4. There shall be no standing water in the percolation fields 24 <br /> hours after wastewater is applied. <br /> 5. Ponds shall be managed to prevent breeding of mosquitoes. In <br /> particular, <br /> a. An erosion control program should assure that small coves <br /> and irregularities are not created around the perimeter <br /> of the water surface. <br /> b. Weeds shall be minimized through control of water depth, <br /> harvesting, or herbicides. <br /> C. Dead algae, vegetation, and debris shall not accumulate <br /> on the water surface. <br /> 6. Public contact with wastewater shall be precluded through such <br /> means as fences, signs, and other acceptable alternatives. <br />
