WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS -8- <br /> SIMPSON LEE PAPER COMPANY <br /> RIPON MILL <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 8. The Discharger shall submit to the Board every five years <br /> beginning 1 June 1998 a technical report which discusses the <br /> following issues: <br /> a. A summary of actions taken to reduce the dissolved <br /> solids in its discharge from the plant and the <br /> treatment system to the ponds and irrigation fields. <br /> b. A hydrogeologic analysis on the effects of the <br /> reduction in dissolved solids in the discharge on the <br /> vadose zone semi-perched aquifer, upper aquifer and <br /> the lower aquifer. The analysis should include a <br /> determination of whether or not the existing discharge <br /> is having a negative impact on the local water <br /> quality. <br /> 9. A copy of this Order shall be kept at the discharge facility <br /> for reference by operating personnel . Key operating <br /> personnel shall be familiar with its contents. <br /> 10. The Board will review this Order periodically and will <br /> revise requirements when necessary. <br /> I , WILLIAM H.
