SLUDGE MONITORING <br /> A composite sample of sludge shall be collected annually in accordance with <br /> EPA's POTW Sludge Sampling and Analysis Guidance document, August 1989, <br /> and tested for the following metals and organics. <br /> Metals: Cadmium, Chromium, Copper, Lead, Nickel, and Zinc. <br /> Organics: Acetone, 2-Butanone <br /> Sampling records shall be retained for a minimum of five years. A log shall be kept <br /> of sludge quantities, handling and disposal activities. The frequency of entries is <br /> discretionary; however, the log should be complete enough to serve as a basis for <br /> part of the annual report. <br /> D. POND MONITORING <br /> Aeration Stabilization Basin No. 2 samples shall be collected downstream from the <br /> last connection through which waste can be admitted into the basin. Grab samples <br /> shall be collected in a convenient location at least 200 feet from the influent <br /> structure. Samples must be representative of the volume and nature of the <br /> discharge from Aeration Stabilization Basin No. 1. Time of grab sample collection <br /> shall be recorded. <br /> If a discharge occurs in one of the four overflow ponds, then the time discharge <br /> began to the overflow pond(s) must be noted. The following shall constitute the <br /> pond monitoring program: <br />
