Diamond Pet Food&Ripon Energy October 25,2017
Third-Quarter 2017 Groundwater-Monitoring Report Page 5 of 5
PURGING PROCEDURES
Wells were purged and sampled with a 12-volt PVC submersible pump. Groundwater was
purged from each well until three well volumes of water had been removed from the wells or
until the field parameters of conductivity and pH had stabilized. Purge water was discharged
directly to the ground and allowed to infiltrate or evaporate.
SAMPLE COLLECTION
Each groundwater sample was collected in appropriate sample bottles provided by the analytical
laboratory, placed on ice in a cooler with a chain-of-custody form, and shipped under chain-of-
custody to BC Laboratories, Inc., Bakersfield, California for analyses.
FIELD ANALYSES
L&A performed field analyses for temperature, conductivity, and pH on groundwater samples
using a Hanna Combo pH/conductivity meter and a LaMotte 2020 turbidity meter. All meters
were field calibrated with standardized solutions before use.
LABORATORY ANALYSES
Groundwater samples were analyzed for pH, EC, TDS, and nitrate as nitrogen.
Table 2 (following text)presents third-quarter 2017 field and laboratory analyses.
Stantec and ECM data are presented in Attachment A; L&A field data sheets and meter-
calibration log are presented in Attachment B; laboratory data sheets and chain-of-custody
forms are presented in Attachment C; summary data tables of field and laboratory analyses are
presented in Attachment D; and time-series graphs of field and laboratory analyses are
presented in Attachment E.
010107.09 Task 3 Lawrence&Associates
W.-I CLIENTSIDiamond Pet Foods 1010107.01-Groundwater Monitoring)Groundwater Monitoring1201 713Q201 713Q quarter 2017 report.docx
