Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Dear Mr. Borgman: <br /> WORKPLAN FOR PHASE H ASSESSMENT OF STANDARD BRANDS FACILITY <br /> LOCATED AT 6502 PACIFIC AVENUE, STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> As requested, a brief description of the work plan for Standard Brands Paint Company's Phase <br /> II site investigation for the above referenced site is presented below as an addendum to the <br /> attached permit application. The objective of our client (the buyer) is to confirm soil conditions <br /> beneath the location of a former underground storage tank which was removed in 1984. The <br /> tank site was closed in 1984. <br /> • Drill two soil borings to 20 feet below ground surface (bgs) at each end of the <br /> former UST location. Utilities will be cleared prior to drilling. Soil borings will <br /> be drilled using a hollow stem auger rig equipped with eight-inch outside diameter <br /> augers. <br /> • Soil samples will be collected at 15 and 20 feet bgs. Pending field screening <br /> results with a hand-held Organic Vapor Analyzer equipped with a flame ionization <br /> detector, either the 15 or 20 foot sample will be analyzed for Volatile Aromatic <br /> Hydrocarbons by EPA Method 8020 plus acetone and Total Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons by EPA Method 8015 Modified. The remaining sample will be <br /> archived. Soil samples will be analyzed by MBT Environmental Laboratory <br /> located in Rancho Cordova, California. <br /> • Soil cuttings will be drummed, labelled, and profiled for disposal at a designated <br /> disposal facility.
