San Joaquin, P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Mr. Borgman:
WORKPLAN FOR PHASE H ASSESSMENT OF STANDARD BRANDS FACILITY
LOCATED AT 6502 PACIFIC AVENUE, STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
As requested, a brief description of the work plan for Standard Brands Paint Company's Phase
II site investigation for the above referenced site is presented below as an addendum to the
attached permit application. The objective of our client (the buyer) is to confirm soil conditions
beneath the location of a former underground storage tank which was removed in 1984. The
tank site was closed in 1984.
• Drill two soil borings to 20 feet below ground surface (bgs) at each end of the
former UST location. Utilities will be cleared prior to drilling. Soil borings will
be drilled using a hollow stem auger rig equipped with eight-inch outside diameter
augers.
• Soil samples will be collected at 15 and 20 feet bgs. Pending field screening
results with a hand-held Organic Vapor Analyzer equipped with a flame ionization
detector, either the 15 or 20 foot sample will be analyzed for Volatile Aromatic
Hydrocarbons by EPA Method 8020 plus acetone and Total Petroleum
Hydrocarbons by EPA Method 8015 Modified. The remaining sample will be
archived. Soil samples will be analyzed by MBT Environmental Laboratory
located in Rancho Cordova, California.
• Soil cuttings will be drummed, labelled, and profiled for disposal at a designated
disposal facility. The borehole will be backgrouted with neat cement grout in the
presence of a County Health Division inspector.
11101 White Rock Road,Rancho Cordova,CA 95670(916)638-3696 FAX(916)638-2842 }1
til:recycled paper
