6 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Task efforts completed by DE as part of the Monitoring Well Installation and previous
study efforts can be summarized as follows:
• Geology beneath the City of Riverbank WWTP is comprised of alluvial material
from the ancestral Stanislaus River.
• Static water levels for MW-10 and MW-11 are 20.36 and 23.15feet bgs,.
respectively. Ground water elevations range from 79.35 to 84.31 feet. Ground
r water mounding has been confirmed by the May round of water levels refer to
Figure 2. First encountered ground water was determined to be perched at
monitoring well MW-10 only. Ground water was first encountered at MW-11
semiconfined at 26 feet bgs.
• Parameters chloride and TDS are elevated. Both MW-10 and MW-11 exceed the
secondary TDS MCL of 500. MW-10 has an elevated chloride concentration of
220 mg/L and below the MCL of 250 mg/L.
• Note that these conclusions have been made from one sampling event. In order
to confirm ground water conditions, two additional rounds of water quality
sampling will be completed during the fourth week in May and the second week
in June.
City of Riverbank Wastewater Treatment Plant Monitoring Well Installation
DE Project No 109-06 ME 2006
15 Rev.0
