02 November 2009
AGE-NC Project No. 09-1692
Page 2 of 2
If hydrocarbon-impact is determined to be present in soil samples collected at 30 feet bsg using the
above field observation methods, then the boring shall be advanced an additional 10 feet, and
samples will be inspected as noted above. This process will continue, until collected soil samples
no longer display observable hydrocarbon impact; in order to determine vertical limits of impact.
Following collection, soil samples will be labeled with the boring location, depth, time, date and
sampler's initials. Appropriately sealed and labeled samples will be placed in a chilled container
under ice and transported under chain-of-custody procedure to a CDPH-certified laboratory for
analysis. We anticipate a minimum of two (2) soil samples from each boring will be submitted for
analysis. Additional samples will be selected for analysis based one or more of the following:
• Field observations of soil samples indicate obvious hydrocarbon-impact;
• Soil samples with elevated organic vapor concentrations;
• Soil samples collected in or near areas where previous samples were collected but not
analyzed.Newly collected soil samples will fill `data gaps';
• Soil samples that display changes in soil type and density; and
• Soil samples collected at total depth.
If you have any questions or require further information,please contact our office at(209)467-1006.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
QQFE\P AZ/l }
V 2
No. 7473 m
XRobertE. y William R.
