0 0 <br /> Preliminary Site Assessment Report <br /> IDEALEASE <br /> 1137 South Stockton Street, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Mark Buller of Idealease, Advanced GeoEnviromnental, Inc. (AGE) has <br /> prepared the enclosed Preliminary Site Assessment Report for the property located at 1137 South <br /> Stockton Street, Stockton, California (site). The scope of work included advancement of ten soil <br /> borings, collection of soil samples,collection of grab ground water samples and preparation of this <br /> report. <br /> The location of the site and surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1; structures, above ground <br /> storage tank (AST) location, and soil boring locations are illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> The objective of the subsurface investigation was to determine the extent of diesel impact to soil and <br /> ground water at the site. Field work was conducted in accordance with the AGE-prepared <br /> Preliminary Site Investigation Work Plan, dated 11 May 2009,which was approved by the Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)by letter dated 22 May 2009. A copy <br /> of the CVRWQCB approval letter is attached as Appendix A. <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> On 02 and 03 June 2009, ten soil borings were advanced at the site for collection of soil and grab <br /> ground water samples. Due to gravel or hardpan in the subsurface, the final boring was not <br /> completed (Figure 2). <br /> 2.1. PROBE BORING ADVANCEMENT <br /> Between 02 and 03 June 2009, soil probe borings Bl through B10 were advanced at the site; soil <br /> samples were collected from nine of ten borings and grab ground water samples were collected from <br /> borings B3 and B6. Borings B1, B2, B4, B5, and B7 through B9 were advanced to total depths of <br /> 10 feet below surface grade;boring B3 and B6 were advanced to total depths of 20 feet bsg.The last <br /> boring attempted was advanced to a depth of two feet bsg, where refusal was encountered within <br /> compacted gravel. No samples were collected from the final boring. <br /> All borings were advanced utilizing AGE's van-mounted Geoprobe 5400 direct-push probing unit <br /> equipped with 1.25-inch diameter probing rods;the probing unit advances soil probe borings using <br /> a hydraulic hammer to drive soil and ground water sampling tools to specified depths.
