Soil Excavation Work Plan <br /> IDEALEASE <br /> 1137 South Stockton Street, Stockton,California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Idealease of Stockton,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.(AGE)has prepared this <br /> Soil Excavation Work Plan for the property located at 1137 South Stockton Street, Stockton, <br /> California(site). Preparation of this work plan was directed by the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB),by letters dated 25 August 2009 and 06 April 2010, for the <br /> removal of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted source area soil.Copies of the CVRWQCB letters are <br /> included as Appendix A. The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is <br /> illustrated in Figure 2. Site background information is summarized in Appendix B. <br /> The work plan was prepared in accordance with CVRWQCB guidelines ("Tri-Regional Board Staff <br /> Recommendations For Preliminary Investigations and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites-UST) <br /> for the investigation of UST sites <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Based upon the analytical results ofsoil samples collected during previous investigations,the highest <br /> concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil were encountered within a shallow area <br /> extending west and southeast beneath the dispenser island located under the fueling canopy <br /> (Figure 3). <br /> Impacted soil in the dispenser and truck wash areas will be excavated to facilitate an overall mass <br /> reduction of contaminants at the site. The proposed scope of work will include the following tasks: <br /> • Planning and pre-field work activities. <br /> • Soil excavation and sample collection/analysis. <br /> • Excavation backfilling. <br /> • Soil disposal. <br /> • Report preparation. <br /> 2.1. PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> A health and safety plan will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety <br /> and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 1985). <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
