Description of the business ( include materials involved) <br /> The business will be involved in raising plants from seed in a potting medium <br /> to a size where they can be transplanted. The plants will need water, fertilizer <br /> pesticide and other materials necessary for growth and development. The operation <br /> _ will be confined to typical metal and plastic framed greenhouses providing light, <br /> heat and moisture as required. <br /> 2. Equipment Used Small tractors, trailers, forklifts, a loader, planting trays and <br /> irrigation equipment. <br /> 3 . Hours and Days of Operation the operation will operate full time during the season <br /> which should run from January through July. <br /> 4 . Employees : Total 3-5 Per Shift 3-5 <br /> 5. Number of customers/day None <br /> 6 . Trucks/day: Incoming 0 - 1 /2 Outgoing 1-2 <br /> 7 . Electrical power and natural gas consumption: estimate amount if <br /> substantial Electrical power will be used for irrigation, lights, cooling and employee <br /> amenities as well as standard uses associated with the shipping building. It is <br /> anticipated natural gas will be used for heating. Usage of both should be minimal. <br /> 8 . Specify any hazardous materials involved in the operation <br /> ( including toxic substances , flammables or explosives ) . <br /> Standard, approved agricultural chemicals, fertilizers and organic potting medium <br /> will be utilized in the conduct of the business. <br /> 9 . Describe any air pollutants or odors from the operation and any <br /> permits needed from the Air Pollution Control District . <br /> None that are anticipated or foreseen. <br /> Development Plan - 4 - (6/86 ) <br />
