Indicated concentrations of 1,200 mg/kg (ppm) Total Volatile Petroleum Hydrocarbons, 430 mg/kg Benzene, 69 mg/Kg Toluene and 6 0 mg/kg Total Lead The sample from beneath the 550-gallon UST had a concentration of 9 0 mg/Kg Total Lead Other analytes were not detected In March 1997, WIF, Inc advanced one soil boring to 80 feet bgs in the vicinity of the former USTs Soil samples and a groundwater sample from the boring, along with a water sample from the domestic well,were submitted for laboratory analysis of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene and Total Xylene Isomers (BTEX), and Methyl Tertiary-Butyl Ether(MTBE) Analytical results Indicated that the soil samples had TPHg concentrations of 5 7 to 1,400 mg/kg, benzene concentrations of 0 95 to 23 mg/kg, toluene concentrations of 40 to 200 mg/kg, ethylbenzene concentrations of 9 2 to 53 mg/kg, and total xylene concentrations of 80 to 410 mg/kg MTBE was not detected in the samples Analytical results of the groundwater sample indicated that It contained 53,000 pg/L TPHg, 21,000 pg/L benzene, 21,000 gg/L toluene, 1,700 pg/L Ethylbenzene, and 120,000 pg/L total xylenes None of the analytes were detected In the domestic well water sample In December 1998,BSK& Associates (BSK) advanced five borings at the Site (Identified In Figure 2 as B-2 and MW-1 through MW-4) and converted four of them to monitoring wells Analytical results of soil samples from the borings are summarized In Table 1 A summary of analytical results of a groundwater grab sample obtained from boring B-2 Is presented III Table 2 4.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE ' The purpose of quarterly monitoring Is to monitor trends in groundwater quality, groundwater depths, gradient, and direction of groundwater flow beneath the Site BSK performed the following tasks • Measured depth to groundwater in the four monitoring wells • Purged and sampled the four monitoring wells and a domestic well at the Site, • Analyzed five groundwater samples for TPHg and BTEX by EPA Method 8015/8020 (Modified) and for fuel oxygenates and 1,2-DCA by EPA Method 8260, • Prepared this quarterly monitoring report summarizing the condition of the wells, depth to groundwater, groundwater gradient and flow direction, and laboratory analytical results Status Repan-07400178 Fiat Quarter 2000 2
