FIELD NOTES
RANCH MARKET ,
February 12, 2004
Mobilized the new ECAT 300 skid H6ok6d up the skid's electrical panel to the site power - -
source and connected the vacuum line from the skid to the well manifold '
Fired up the system with the chamber temperature set at 700 degrees, flow at 220 _
PID influent= 85 and effluent= 37
In response to the low influent concentration we took PID readings on the individual wells '
PID
V1, V4, V7, V8, V9, V10 all less than 25 '
V2 - 185
V3 - 50
V5 - 150 S
V6 -220 '
Closed vacuum to all wells except V2, V5, and V6 and total system AID '
PID
Influent- 175
Effluent-35
Effluent concentration was too high Thus, we removed the CAT cell and cleaned up with water
Replaced the CAT cell and re-seated and sealed We varied the temperature to see which
temperature would yield the contaminant destruction
-=Effluent-PID --
700 degrees-27
-----"_800-degrees r 13-'-;!` ---- - - - ------ - - - - - -- —
900 degrees-7
To ensure that the CAT cell was performing at optimum levels we decided to "Bake"the CAT ,
cell by running the system open to the atmosphere at 900 degrees for several days
u _
