Remedial Well and Soil Vapor Extraction System Installation Report 9 <br /> Ranch Market.23569 South Santa Fe Road,Riverbank CA November 27,2002 <br /> 7.0 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS <br /> 7.1 Extent of Petroleum Hydrocarbons Adsorbed to Soil <br /> The release of gasoline in the area of the former USTs appears to have migrated vertically <br /> downward to the groundwater, and then down gradient creating a 10 foot thick smear zone <br /> from 20 to 30 feet bgs (Table 2) The highest concentrations in soil of benzene, MtBE, and <br /> TPHg were found in the soil sample collected from AS-1 at 20 feet bgs, underlying the former <br /> UST pit <br /> TPHg, benzene, and MtBE were not detected in soil samples collected from S-17 between 20 <br /> and 35 feet bgs Well S-13 soil samples confirmed that gasoline-range petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons have not migrated northwest toward domestic well DW-1 above 35 feet bgs <br /> Well S-12 soil samples confirmed that gasoline-range petroleum hydrocarbons have not <br /> migrated northeast below 25 feet bgs Based on the soil sample analyses presented in Table 2 <br /> and Figure 4, the southern lateral extent of gasoline-range petroleum hydrocarbons adsorbed <br /> to soil has been defined <br /> 7.3 Recommendations and Future Work <br /> Installation of a remediation system was completed at the site in September 2002, and the <br /> SVE system began operation on September 27, 2002 SECOR will perform operation and <br /> maintenance of the SVE system semi-monthly Start-up of the ozone infection skid will be <br /> summarized in the 4" Quarter Monitoring and Sampling Report that will be completed in <br /> January 2003 SECOR will also continue quarterly monitoring and sampling of the ten, <br /> monitoring wells, one air sparge well, and four domestic wells The onsite domestic well, <br /> DW-1 will continue to be sampled monthly Remediation system performance summaries <br /> will be included in future quarterly groundwater monitoring reports The groundwater <br /> monitoring well latitude and longitude survey locations and elevations will be entered into <br /> and submitted to the State Geotracker Database per the requirements in AB2886 <br /> I\Ranch Market-Riverbank\ReporLARB-Remed Well Install doc SECOR International Incorporated <br />
