INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request ofMr Peter Lenz of Innovative Beverage Brokers,Advanced GeoEnvnronmental,Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared thus quarterly report for the property located at 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, <br /> California The site and the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 Structures,boring and well <br />' locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Background information Is summarized in Preliminary Site <br /> Investigation Report, dated 30 December 1997, prepared by AGE <br /> 1 2.0. PROCEDURES <br />' Field work was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division's (PHS-EHD) guidelines for the sampling of ground water <br /> monitoring wells and Regional Water Quality Control Board(RWQCB)guidelines for investigation <br />' of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> lie 2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br />' Ground water sampling of MW 1 through MW7 was conducted on 07 August 2001 A Sollnst water <br /> level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in the seven wells relative to the tops of <br /> the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient were determined from these data(Table <br /> 1) <br /> After recorchng water level measurements,a disposable plastic bailer was used to purge monitoring <br /> I wells MW 1 through MW7 of standing water Approximately one gallon of water(minimum of 3 <br /> casing-water volumes)was removed from MW 1,approximately two gallons of water were removed <br /> from MW3 and approximately four gallons of water were removed from MW4 through MW7 Less <br /> than 0 25 gallons of water were removed from well MW2 before it was purged dry Ground water <br /> temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during purging using an Oakton <br /> water analyzer Field sheets and data are included In Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site <br /> Iin labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums <br /> 22 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Water samples were collected from each purged well using new disposable plastic bailers Each <br /> water sample was transferred into three 40-m1 VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18%hydrochloric acid <br /> as a sample preservative and into one 1-liter amber bottle without added preservative After <br /> collection, the samples were properly labeled, placed in a chilled container and transported under <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
