Survey for and Identification of Utilities <br /> Prior to beginning work an site or in or around facilities, or buildirr3s or other <br />' structures whish could be served by or ammo cted to utilities, a search mist be <br /> cox-iducted by the SHSC, ideally in association with sameane familiar with the facility <br /> to identify any overhead, i rground and ire-workplace utilities such as: <br /> o electrical lines arra appliances, <br /> o gas lines, <br /> o pipelines, <br /> o steam lines, <br /> o water lines, <br /> o sewer lines, and <br /> o pressured air lines. <br /> The location of any utility which could pose a risk to workers mast be communicated <br /> to all workers during site safety indoctrination. Utilites should be marked or <br /> access otherwise restricted to avoid chance of accidental contact. <br />' Utilities shall be considered "live" or active until a reliable source has documented <br /> them to be otherwise. <br /> A.
