INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Peter Lenz,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this work <br /> plan for Installation of ground water monitoring wells at 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, California <br /> (site) The location of the site is Illustrated on Figure I A plan of the site is Illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD)has <br /> directed by letter dated 19 June 2000 that a work plan be prepared for ground water monitoring wells <br /> at the site This work plan is prepared in accordance with PHS-EHD and Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for the investigation of underground storage <br /> tanks (UST) sites <br /> This work plan provides a description of the scope of work and procedures for the Installation of four <br /> ground water monitoring wells <br /> 20. BACKGROUND <br /> In September 1997 and February 2000, nine soil bonngs were advanced at the site Three of the <br /> borings advanced in February 2000 were completed as ground water monitoring wells Soil samples <br /> were collected from each boring and ground water samples were collected in March and July from <br /> each monitoring well Soil and ground water samples were submitted for laboratory analysis Based <br /> on the results of the laboratory analysis of the soil and ground water samples,the PHS-EHD directed <br /> by letter dated 19 June 2000 that additional subsurface Investigation be performed at the site to <br /> delineate the vertical and horizontal extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-Impact to soil and to ground <br /> water <br /> 21 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The site Is located in a commercial area of low topographic relief in east Stockton,California, at an <br /> approximate elevation of 25 feet above mean sea level The site is bounded on the north and east by <br /> the Stockton Diverting Channel, on the west by State Highway 99 and on the south by Shaw Road <br /> Golden West Irrigation,an agricultural Irrigation supply and distributing facility,presently occupies <br /> the property <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmenta[,Inc <br />
