• Preliminary Site Investigation Work Plan - July 1997 <br /> Former FISCO WAREHOUSE (Howard Lenz Property) <br /> 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, California <br /> 10. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr Peter Lenz, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br /> prepared this Preliminary Site Investigation Work Plan for investigation of the former underground <br /> storage tank (UST) area at 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, California <br /> The scope of work initially includes the advancement of one soil probang within the former UST area <br /> and collection of soil samples The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 - Location Map <br /> (USGS 7 5 Minute Topographic Series Stockton East Quadrangle, Photorevised 1987) A plan of <br /> the site is illustrated on Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> This Work Plan is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of UST sites <br /> 20 BACKGROUND <br /> 2 1 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located in a flat,commercial area of east Stockton, California,at an approximate elevation <br /> of 25 feet above mean sea level The site is bounded on the north and east by the Stockton Diverting <br /> Channel, on the west by State Highway 99 and the south by Shaw Road <br /> Golden West Irrigation, an agricultural irrigation supply and distributing fatality, presently occupies <br /> the property <br /> 22 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> Two 550-gallon USTs were removed from the site on 03 October 1986 by Stockton Service Station <br /> Equipment Con a According to correspondence from the PHS-EHD, both USTs were reportedly <br /> used to store= Upon removal of the USTs, one soil sample was collected from the floor of <br /> the excavation The sample was analyzed by California Water Labs, Inc , a State-certified analytical <br /> laboratory, for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH-d), benzene, toluene and <br /> xylene <br /> TPH-d and xylene were detected in the soil sample at concentrations of 3,000 and 0 188 parts per <br /> million (ppm), respectively Benzene and toluene were not detected above the reporting limit of <br />
