'• Qua rterly Report - First Quarter 2004
Former Fisco Warehouse (Howard Lenz Property)
' 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
' At the request of Mr.Peter Lenz of Innovative Beverage Brokers,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
(AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton,
California. The site and the surrounding area are illustrated-in Figure 1. Structures, boring and well
' locations are illustrated on Figure 2. Site background information is provided in Appendix A.
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by San Joaquin County
' Environmental Health Department (EHD) for the sampling of ground water monitoring wells and
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for investigation of
underground storage tank(UST) sites.
I
2.1. WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 18 March 2004, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in
monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-8, with the exception of MW-6,relative to the top of the well
' casings. A ground water depth measurement was not possible in well MW-6 because access to that
well could not be obtained. Consequently, well MW-6 could not be purged or sampled.Field sheets
' and data are included in Appendix B.
After recording the water level measurement, disposable plastic bailers were used to purge wells
MW-4, MW-5 and MW-7 of standing water; a Watera Hydrolift Pump was used to purge well
' MW-8 ofstanding water.Approximately 3.0 gallons ofwaterwere purged from wells MW-4,MW-5
and MW-7 and approximately 5.0 gallons of water were purged from MW-8 before the well was
purged dry.Wells MW-1,MW-2 and MW-3 could not be purged due to the small quantity of ground
water in these wells. In addition, well MW-1 could not be sampled due to the very small quantity of
ground water in that well.Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular
intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer.Purged water was stored on-site in labeled,
55-gallon Department of Transportation(DOT)-approved drums. Field sheets and data are included
in Appendix B.
•
Advanced GeoEnvironmcntal,Inc.
