Additional Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan <br /> • Former FISCO WAREHOUSE (Howard Lenz Property) <br />' 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Peter Lenz,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared this work <br />' plan for Installation of an additional ground water monitoring well at 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, <br /> California This work plan was prepared as directed by the San Joaquin County Environmental <br />' Health Department (EHD), by letter dated 17 June 2002, to install a deep-screened ground water <br /> monitoring well to monitor the contaminants detected during the January 2002 investigation at a <br /> depth between 90 feet and 100 feet below surface grade (bsg), a copy of the letter is included as <br /> IAppendix A The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1, a site plan is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> This work plan is prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> I (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites <br /> 20. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in a commercial area of low topographic relief in east Stockton, California, at an <br /> approximate elevation of 25 feet above mean sea level The site is bounded on the north and east by <br /> the Stockton Diverting Channel, on the west by State Highway 99 and on the south by Shaw Road <br /> Golden West Irrigation,an agricultural irrigation supply and distributing facility,presently occupies <br /> the property <br /> Background information and results of previous investigations at the site can be found in the <br /> AGE-prepared documents, Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan, dated 21 August 2000, <br /> Monitoring Well Installation and Quarterly Report-First Quarter 2001, dated 23 March 2001 and <br /> Cone Penetrometer Testing Report-January 2002,dated 17 April 2002 Soil and groundwater data <br /> from the previous investigations can be found in Tables 1 through 5 Cross-sections depicting the <br /> general lithology, hydrologic units and analytical results from deep ground water samples collected <br /> beneath the site are illustrated on Figures 3 through 6 <br /> The lateral and vertical extent of impacted soil and the lateral extent of impacted ground water has <br /> Ibeen defined The vertical extent of impacted ground water has not been fully defined <br />' 21 REGIONAL GEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> The property is situated within the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of California, a large, <br />' elongate, northwest trending, asymmetric structural trough The Great Valley Province has been <br /> • filled with thick sequences of sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to Recent,creating a nearly flat- <br /> lying alluvial plain,extending from the Tehachapi Mountains in the south to the Klamath Mountains <br /> IAdvanced GeoEnvi ron mental,Inc <br />
