IQuarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2003 <br /> • Former Fisco Warehouse (Howard Lenz Property) <br /> 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Peter Lenz of Innovative Beverage Brokers,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 1648 Shaw Road, Stockton, <br /> California The site and the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 Structures,boring and well <br /> locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Site background information is provided in Appendix A <br /> I2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by San Joaquin County <br /> I Environmental Health Department (EHD) for the sampling of ground water monitoring wells and <br /> Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for investigation of <br /> underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> I <br /> 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br /> MPOn 20 November 2003, a Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water <br /> in monitoring well MW-8 relative to the top of the well casings Depth measurements were not <br /> possible in wells MW-1 through MW-7 because these wells had no measurable water(Appendix B) <br /> Consequently, these wells could not be purged or sampled Field sheets and data are included in <br /> Appendix B <br /> After recording the water level measurement, a Watera Hydrohft Pump was used to purge well <br /> MW-8 of standing water Approximately 5 0 gallons of water were purged from MW-8 before the <br /> well was purged dry Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured during purging <br /> using an Oakton water analyzer Purged water was stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon <br /> DOT-approved drums Field sheets and data are included in Appendix B <br /> 2 2 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> A water sample was collected from well MW-8 using dedicated tubing after allowing the well to <br /> achieve a minimum 80% recovery of the pre-purge water volume The water samples were <br /> transferred into three 40-m1 volatile organic analysis (VOA) vials containing 0 5 ml 18% <br /> hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative and into one 1-liter amber bottle without added <br /> preservative After collection, the samples were properly labeled, placed in a chilled container and <br /> • transported under chain-of-custody to Cal Tech Environmental Laboratories(CTEL),a Department <br /> of Health Services-certified laboratory <br /> Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,inc <br />
