The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been addressed for BROTHERS TRANSMISSION as of April 14, 2020. Open violations from September 24, 2019 inspection Violation #101 - Managed a hazardous waste without an identification number. OBSERVATION This business does not have an active hazardous waste ID number. The hazardous waste ID number CAL000409473 in the California Department of Toxic Substances Control(DTSC) database. REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of, transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without having received an Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) Identification (ID) Number. A State EPA ID number is required for generators of less than 100 kg RCRA hazardous waste per month, less than 1 kg of acutely hazardous waste per month or any amount of non-RCRA hazardous waste. ID numbers are unique to a business and site location. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Go to the DTSC web site at https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/ to reactivate your State ID number . Immediately reactivate your ID number and submit evidence to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): ❑ Supporting documents included Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: Violation #110-Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. OBSERVATION Designated facility signed copies of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest from September 24, 2019 to September 24, 2016 were not found on-site. REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance with section 66262.23(a) for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility which received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the waste was accepted by the initial transporter. The hazardous waste generator must submit a copy of the manifest to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control(DTSC)within 60 days if the destination facility signed manifest copy is not received from the transporter or designated facility. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Locate a copy of the destination facility signed manifests and send a copy to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD). If the destination facility signed manifests cannot be found then send to DTSC a copy of each generator signed manifest and a statement that the designated facility signed copy was not received by the generator.
