The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for BROTHERS TRANSMISSION as of April 14, 2020. <br /> Open violations from September 24, 2019 inspection <br /> Violation #101 - Managed a hazardous waste without an identification number. <br /> OBSERVATION This business does not have an active hazardous waste ID number. The hazardous waste ID <br /> number CAL000409473 in the California Department of Toxic Substances Control(DTSC) database. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of, transport or offer for <br /> transportation, hazardous waste without having received an Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) Identification <br /> (ID) Number. A State EPA ID number is required for generators of less than 100 kg RCRA hazardous waste per <br /> month, less than 1 kg of acutely hazardous waste per month or any amount of non-RCRA hazardous waste. ID <br /> numbers are unique to a business and site location. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Go to the DTSC web site at https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/ <br /> to reactivate your State ID number . Immediately reactivate your ID number and submit evidence to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation #110-Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> OBSERVATION Designated facility signed copies of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest from September 24, <br /> 2019 to September 24, 2016 were not found on-site. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance <br /> with section 66262.23(a) for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility <br /> which received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the <br /> waste was accepted by the initial transporter. The hazardous waste generator must submit a copy of the manifest <br /> to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control(DTSC)within 60 days if the destination facility signed <br /> manifest copy is not received from the transporter or designated facility. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Locate a copy of the destination facility signed manifests and send a copy to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD). If the destination facility signed manifests cannot be <br /> found then send to DTSC a copy of each generator signed manifest and a statement that the designated facility <br /> signed copy was not received by the generator.
