The hydrocarbons and their indicator <br /> constituents can be hazardous. These indicator constituents are <br /> listed below along with a brief health hazard description, the <br /> American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists <br /> Threshold Limit Values (ACGIH TLV's) and vapor pressures. <br /> Benzene <br /> ene is a skin irritant. Inhalation may <br /> Hazards: Benz <br /> , nausea, and <br /> result in headache, dizziness <br /> general weakness. Continued exposures to high <br /> concentrations could result in central nervous <br /> system depression and respiratory failure. <br /> Prolonged chronic exposures may result in <br /> abnormalities of the blood, forming tissues of <br /> bone marrow as well as leukemia.
