1.0 Introduction <br /> 1.1 Objective <br /> The objective of this Project Health and Safety Pian (HASP) is to ensure that safe working <br /> conditions exist during the Pacific Bell Project in Stockton, California. The safety procedures <br /> outlined have been established based on preliminary analysis of potential hazards within the <br /> Site. This HASP describes the health and safety requirements and procedures to be used <br /> while conducting field work and includes: <br />' <br /> Responsibilities of persons on-site; <br />' Training Program; <br /> • Medical Surveillance Program; <br /> • Hazard Analysis; <br /> • Hazard Control Program; <br /> • Personal Protection Program; <br /> • Decontamination Procedures; <br /> - Industrial Hygiene Monitoring Program; and <br /> • Certain Specific Work Procedures (Drill rig operation, etc.). <br /> This document, in combination with all HASP Addenda and IT's Corporate Health and Safety <br /> Policy manual, also serves as the company's Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) and <br />' Code of Safe Work Practices. <br /> 1.2 Site and Facility Description <br /> The Pacific Bell Project site is located in Stockton, California, in a commercial area. The <br />' worksite is in the sidewalk on the north side of the facility building. The site and <br /> surrounding areas are subject to heavy traffic flow. It is anticipated that there are also <br /> underground utilities in the area. <br /> 1.3 Policy Statement <br /> It is the policy of ff Corporation (IT) to provide a safe and healthful work environment for <br /> all its employees and subcontractors. fr considers no phase of operation or administration to <br />' be of greater importance than injury or illness prevention. Safety takes precedence over <br /> expediency or shortcuts.
