7.0 Decontamination <br /> The project area will be divided into three work zones: exclusion zone (EZ), a contamination <br /> reduction zone (CRZ), and a support zone. The FC will be responsible for designation of the <br /> work zones. <br /> The EZ will include any area where chemical contamination may occur and will be marked <br /> with barrier tape or other means to warn personnel of the hazards. Only IT personnel and <br /> authorized visitors who have completed 40-hour hazardous waste training and who are <br /> wearing the required PPE will be allowed within this zone. <br />�h <br /> Immediately adjacent to the EZ, a CRZ with a decontamination area for equipment and <br /> personnel will be established. This area will also be delineated with traffic cones and/or <br /> barrier tape. <br /> The .remainder of the IT project area will be designated as the support zone. No special <br /> 1?Po <br /> markings or warning labels are required for this area. <br /> 7.1 Personnel Decontamination <br /> All personnel working in the EZ must undergo personnel decontamination prior to entering <br /> the support zone. The personnel decontamination area shall consist of the following steps. <br /> Step 1. Personnel leaving the contaminated zone will remove any gross contamination from <br /> their outer clothing and boots. <br /> Step Z. Personnel will remove their Tyvek coveralls and gloves. Personnel will remove <br /> their respirators (if used), hard hats, and boots. <br /> Step I Personnel will thoroughlywash their hands and facebefore leaving the <br /> decontamination zone.
