Personal In 1"u►Y Accident <br /> In the event of a personal injury accident, the FC will assess the nature and seriousness of the <br /> injury. In the case of serious or life-threatening injuries, normal decontamination procedures <br /> may be abbreviated or bypassed. Less serious injuries such as strains, sprains, minor cuts, <br /> and contusions may only be treated after the employee has been decontaminated. Following <br /> decontamination, an IT project team member qualified in fust aid and CPR will administer <br /> suitable first aid. The FC will then, if necessary, arrange transport to the appropriate medical <br /> facility. <br /> 12.5 Fire <br /> In the case of a fire on the site, the FC will assess the situation and determine the proper <br /> response. IT personnel will attempt to extinguish the fire with available extinguishers, only if <br /> safe to do so. IT will call the local fire department in the event of a fire that IT is unable to <br /> safely and immediately extinguish. The FC will ensure that the client is immediately notified <br /> of any fires. <br /> 12.6 Emergency Information <br /> Prior to the start of the project, contact will be made with local authorities and emergency <br /> services to establish communication channel during an event of emergency and to familiarize <br /> the project personnel with the communication procedure and services.
