cumulative plus project condition. The unmitigated V/C ratio was 4.34
for the cumulative plus project scenario.
East Frontage Road and Arch Road
This intersection will be moved to a new h R tad interchangefurther talong Arch Road with
and the corresponding
the advent of the new State Route 99/Arc
new off and on-ramps and loops. This future intersection should be configured as
follows:
A dual left-turn, and four through lanes (the right-most lane being a
shared through/right) for the eastbound approach; an exclusive free-
flow right-turn pocket, and a through/left-turn lane for the southbound
approach; a left-turn pocket, and four through lanes (the right-most
lane being a shared through/right) for the westbound approach; a
right-turn pocket, and a through/left-turn lane for the northbound
approach.
Arch Road and Highway 99 Northbound Off-Ramp
This future intersection will exist as a result
the cumulative traffic v volumes projected
d/State Route 99
interchange construction. In order to ha
for this vicinity, it should be configured as follows:
For the northbound off-ramp, a left turn pocket, and a right turn pocket;
three through lanes for the eastbound direction; three through lanes
and an exclusive free flow right turn pocket for the westbound
approach. This configuration will yield a V/C ratio of 0.84, or LOS D for
the full cumulative condition.
Arch Road and Highway 99 Southbound Off-Ramp
This future intersection will also exist asresult
st shou d be configu ed as follows:f the new interchange construction.
In order to handle the cumulative traffic vol me
For the southbound off-ramp, a dual left-turn pocket, and an exclusive
free flow right-turn pocket; four through lanes and a separate right-turn
pocket for the eastbound direction; four through lanes and a dual left-
turn pocket for the westbound approach. This configuration will yield a
V/C ratio of 1.29, or LOS F for the full cumulative condition.
17
Frontage Road and Highway 99 Southbound Off-Ramp
Access directly to the freeway will need to be eliminated as soon as the
new interchange is built.
West Frontage Road and Project Access
The West Frontage Road should be extended south to French Camp Road by the
year 2000. This change in the street system will also have an effect upon the
circulation patterns in the area. The employees of Aero Turbine who would live in the
southern region of the study area (such as Manteca) would be able to use the French
Camp interchange and go north on the West Frontage Road to get to work.
18
