Captain Kamrath <br /> Page 2 <br /> January 8, 1990 <br /> The Department estimates that it will take 51 months to <br /> complete the Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study that was <br /> underway at the site on July 1, 1989 . Based on the <br /> Department' s determination that this site is extra large, and <br /> the monthly fee quotient is $3 , 333 . 33 , the prorated fee for <br /> this phase of activity is, therefore, $170, 000. <br /> The new law requires the State Board of Equalization (Board) <br /> to collect the fees established by the Department under the <br /> Act. You may expect to receive a demand from the Board in the <br /> near future based on the fee levels described herein. As each <br /> phase of activity associated with a fee is completed, a fee <br /> demand for the next phase of activity will be sent to you by <br /> the Board. However, as mentioned earlier in this letter, once <br /> a MOU and the DSMOA becomes effective for this site activity, <br /> fees will no longer be assessed.
