This building is
located north of the previous hazardous waste storage area,
which was also operated by GSA. From the interior
appearance of the building and Garner Wilson's knowledge of
the building, hazardous waste has not been stored in the
facility. However, hazardous waste was being temporarily
stored outside the building. This waste was being well
managed, accurately labeled and stored less that 90 days.
From this inspection and the appearance that Article 6,
Title 22, California Administrative Code (CAC) (Requirements
for Generators of Hazardous Waste) will be followed,
temporary storage of hazardous waste (less than 90 day
storage) may commence in this building. Please remember
that not only must GSA meet Article 6, Title 22, CAC
requirements, but in addition Section 67105 and Articles
19,20 and 24, Title 22, CAC, must be met. This building
will be annually inspected by the Department of Health
Services to make sure all of these requirements are being
followed.
