UPCOMING INSTALLATION RESTORATION <br /> PROGRAM DOCUMENTS <br /> Ms. Huey said that the Landfill Remedial Investigation Report (Operable Unit 3) is currently <br /> being reviewed by the Navy and will be released in late October or early November. She added <br /> that RAB members should request copies from her if they are interested in receiving the report <br /> when the regulatory agencies are sent their copies. The report includes assessments of the water <br /> quality, ecology, and human health for the landfill remedial investigation. <br /> VI. STATUS OF THE TRANSFER <br /> John Verkerk,Navy Officer-in-Charge for NCTS Stockton, stated that the Navy met with <br /> representatives of the Port of Stockton last week. He said that the Port is becoming more <br /> receptive and actively preparing for the transfer process. The Navy is scheduled for transfer of <br /> the 89 parcels in Phase I to the Port as of October 26, 1999. This timeframe allows for the Port <br /> review and for the Navy to update the Port Commission on the transfer documentation process. <br /> Phase If of the transfer will occur in approximately twelve months. <br /> Kim Schwab,Regional Water Quality Control Board(RWQCB), asked if the Navy expected any <br /> response from the state agencies on the final documents.Mr.Beeman replied that further comments <br /> were not needed because the documents have been signed and finalized.Mr.Verkerk explained that <br /> the documents were now awaiting approval at the Department of the Navy headquarters. <br /> VII. OPEN DISCUSSION <br /> Mr. Beeman asked if there were any items the group would like to discuss. A discussion of the <br /> agenda for the 18 November 1999 RAB meeting resulted in the following items: 1) landfill <br /> report, 2) status of the transfer and progress on Phase II, and 3)Pistol Range Work Plan. <br /> VIII. REVIEW NEW ACTION ITEMS <br /> Review Action Items <br /> 1. Lang Huey, EFA-West, will send a copy of the schedule to Kim Schwab, Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board(RWQCB). <br /> 2. The next meeting of the Restoration Advisory Board(RAB)will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, <br /> 18 November 1999 at Bldg. 317A,the Reserve Center office at 305 Fyffe Avenue. <br /> 4 <br />
