INFORMATION SHEET
GENERAL ORDER FOR LAND DISPOSAL
OF GROUND WATER FROM CLEANUP OF
PETROLEUM FUEL POLLUTION
effluent quality are not expected. if detectable concentrations of fuel
constituents are found, the monitoring program requires weekly monitoring
of the effluent until 'non-detected' conditions are reestablished. The
effluent sampling is not a substitute for process control monitoring by
the Discharger.
b. Daily maximum effluent concentrations are established to allow for some
effluent quality variation and for the false positive analytical results
inherent in analyses near the limits of detection. For Benzene, Ethyl
Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene, the Daily Maximum Effluent Limitation has
been set at ten times the detection limit. =or TPH , the Daily Maximum has
been set at the taste and odor threshold of approximately 0.1 mg/l . The
Daily Maximum for lead is set at 50 ug/ l . the ori mar_y arinking water
standard for lead.
A Report of Waste Discharge and filing fee will be submitted by each proposed
Discharaer, providing information on the discharge as detailed in Attachment A.
If the Executive Officer finds that the proposed discharge qualifies for coverage
under this General Order, the Discharger shall be issued a Notification of
Applicability statement.
KDL/kdl
