The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for BRANNON TIRE - CLAREMONT as of March 13 , 2020 . <br /> Open violations from January 27, 2020 inspection <br /> available . <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date) . <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Violation #507 - Failed to conduct daily inspections of hazardous waste tank system and maintain records <br /> onsite . <br /> OBSERVATION The facility has a hazardous waste tank but does not have three years of complete daily tank <br /> inspection records . The daily tank inspections were not available for review the following months : <br /> -June 2017 to May 2018 <br /> -April 2019 to January 2020 <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: (a ) The owner or operator shall inspect, where present, at least once each operating <br /> day : <br /> ( 1 ) overfill/spill control equipment (e . g . , waste-feed cutoff systems , bypass systems , and drainage systems) to <br /> ensure that it is in good working order; <br /> (2) the aboveground portions of the tank system , if any , to detect corrosion or releases of waste ; <br /> ( 3 ) data gathered from monitoring equipment and leak-detection equipment, (e . g . , pressure and temperature <br /> gauges , monitoring wells ) to ensure that the tank system is being operated according to its design ; <br /> (4) the construction materials and the area immediately surrounding the externally accessible portion of the tank <br /> system including secondary containment structures (e . g . , dikes) to detect erosion or signs of releases of hazardous <br /> waste (e . g . , wet spots , dead vegetation ) ; and <br /> ( 5 ) for uncovered tanks , the level of waste in the tank , to ensure compliance with section 66265 . 1 94 ( b ) (3) , <br /> (c) The owner or operator shall document in the operating record of the facility an inspection of those items in <br /> subsection (a ) of this section . <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Immediately start conducting and documenting complete daily hazardous waste tank <br /> inspections . Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department ( EHD ) within 30 days . <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date) : <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Page 8 of 10 <br />
