PHS/EHD's comments are as follows.
Section 3.2, Analytical Methods.
We recommend the soluble WET analysis utilizing deionized water be performed in lieu of the total
lead analytical method. This method is preferred as our concern is relative to water quality
degradation rather than hazardous waste criterion.
Prior to initiating field drilling activities, PHS/EHD's Application for Permit shall be completed and
submitted along with the remittance fee of $89.00. The Application shall be signed by the licensed
contractor (Class 57), or the licensed contractor shall in writing authorize an agent's signature.
At a minimum, provide PHS/EHD with 48 hour advance notification of field activities.
If you have any questions, please contact Diane Hinson, Supervising REHS, of my staff at (209) 468-3452.
Jogi Khanna, M.D., M.P.H.
Health Officer i
urie A.
