(AGE) has prepared the enclosed work plan for the abandonment of seven ground water monitoring wells at 107 North School Street, Lodi, California. The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1; a plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. Upon approval of the work plan, AGE will submit an appropriate abandonment permit and permit fees. INTRODUCTIONBACKGROUND Seven groundwater monitoring wells(MW-2 through MW-8),eight soil vapor extraction wells(VE- S through VE-8)and eight in-situ air sparging(IAS)wells are presently located at the site. Six of the seven�W monitoring wells(MW-3 through MW-8)are located off-site,within the City ofLodi right- of-way. Additionally, well MW-2 is located within a concrete bench area near the entrance to the theater complex. Five of the IAS wells and two of the SVE wells were installed at an angle under West Elm Street. The SVE and IAS wells are connected,via subsurface piping,to a manifold area,located at the north corner of the theater entrance area,near the present entrance to Starbucks.The surface of the theater entrance area is covered with brick pavers. Prior to the development of the site, the entire entrance area was excavated to a depth of approximately 3 to 4 feet below surface grade (bsg). All remediation well-heads and horizontal remediation piping were buried approximately 1-foot below the excavated grade prior to the installation of the pavers and paver base material.
