INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Edward Barkett and Mr Joseph Newfield,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc
(AGE) has prepared this Quarterly Report for the property located at 107 North School Street, Lodi,
California
A ground water extraction test was performed in July 1999 Ground water monitoring was performed
on 21 July 1999 Background information and previous site investigation activities were described
in the Corrective Action Plan, dated 10 June 1999, prepared by AGE The site and the surrounding
area are illustrated in Figure 1- Location Map Structures, well and boring; locations are illustrated
on Figure 2 - Site Plan
2 0. PROCEDURES
All field work was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
. Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites Field
procedures for performance of the pump test and ground water monitoring and sampling are
described below
2 1 AQUIFER PUMP TEST
I On 15 July 1999, a limited aquifer pump test was performed at the site The depth-to-groundwater
was measured in wells MWI, MW2, MW4 MW5, SWI, SW2 and VW1C using a Solinst water
level meter A two-inch diameter Grundfos submersible pump was then lowered into VW-1C
Pressure transducers were then placed in VW 1 C, SW 1, SW2 and MW2 and connected to a data
logger to record drawdown data from the wells Purge water was placed in a 6500-gallon "Baker"
above-ground storage tank The height of the water column was measured by the datalogger in time
intervals starting at one second and lengthening to one minute The depth-to-groundwater was also
measured in selected wells throughout the pump test using a Solinst water level meter Wells SWI
and SW2 are screened from 60 to 57 5 feet below surface grade (bsg) The remaining wells are
Iscreened from 60 feet bsg to above the ground water surface
I The pumping rate was determined by measuring the time required to fill a 5-gallon bucket from the
pumping discharge hose Afer 24 minutes, the pumping rate was increased The pumping rate was
again increased to maximum output after apprommately 3 hours of pumping Approximately 1 A50
gallons of water were removed from VW 1 C during the sic-hour and forty-minute test
Ods anced GeoEn-.ironrnt ntal Inc
I
