❑ APPLICATION PROCESSING <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL The County will decide if the proposal will have an <br /> REVIEW adverse effect on the environment. If there are no <br /> adverse effects, the application will be processed. <br /> If there are potential adverse effects, further <br /> environmental review will be required. This may <br /> extend the processing time. <br /> REFERRALS AND Staff will refer the application to any County <br /> APPROVAL departments , other agencies , and surrounding property <br /> owners affected by your proposal . At the end of a <br /> review and referral period of about 4 weeks, the <br /> Planning Director will approve your application if <br /> he can make the required findings . If the Director <br /> cannot make the required findings , the application <br /> will be denied. <br /> FINAL APPROVAL The action of the Director can be appealed to the <br /> Planning Commission. This action is final unless <br /> appealed. For further information on the- length of <br /> the appeal period, contact the Planning Staff . <br /> ❑ OBTAIN ANY PERMITS NECESSARY TO START YOUR PROJECT <br /> The Planning Division will send you the permit giving the final action <br /> and listing all conditions , if approved. Obtain any other required <br /> permits and start your project. <br /> 1. In addition to the Site Approval site plan, an Improvement Plan may <br /> be required by the Public Works Department as a condition of appro- <br /> val. This is an engineered plan showing drainage, grading, access <br /> and circulation/parking details. <br /> ❑ FINDINGS REQUIRED FOR APPROVAL <br /> For your information, the following findings must be made before the <br /> application can be approved. <br /> 1. The establishment, maintenance and operation of the use does not <br /> conflict with the General Plan. <br /> 2 . Adequate utilities , access roads, sanitation, drainage and other <br /> necessary facilities have been provided and the proposed improve- <br /> ments are properly related to existing and proposed streets and <br /> highways . <br /> 3 . The property involved is of adequate size and shape to accommodate <br /> the proposed use and all yards , building coverage, setbacks , <br /> parking areas and other requirements of this Title . <br /> 4 . Issuance of the permit will not be significantly detrimental to <br /> the public health , safety, or welfare or injurious to the property <br /> or improvements of adjacent properties . <br /> Site Approval Application - 2 - ( 6/86 ) <br />
