Pollution charges denied <br /> Three executives of a Lathrop con- <br /> crete company pleaded not guilty to pol- <br /> lution charges and other misdemeanors <br /> Thursday in Manteca Municipal Court. <br /> Con Fab Corp. president Phillip <br /> ,,French and managers Robert Patterson <br /> -and Larry Hekmaty got their case de- <br /> layed until April 24 to obtain lawyers. <br /> Judge Don 1. Asher permitted them to <br /> remain free without bail on condition <br /> they keep their court dates. <br /> All three are charged with illegal dis- <br /> posal of hazardous waste and use of <br /> flammable liquids and peroxides without <br /> }permits. French also is charged with op- <br /> erating Con Fab without a county busi- <br /> ness license. <br /> In addition, the district attorney's of- <br /> fice is pressing a $3 million civil lawsuit <br /> against the company and the executives. <br /> The suit alleges that, among other <br /> .things, Con Fab failed to take precau- <br /> tions against fire, stored gasoline and <br /> diesel fuel in unmarked containers with <br /> .inadequate dispensers,and spilled fuel. <br />
