Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201 i
f
RE: Soil Boring Permit Fees and Penalty - Langston's Market, Lathrop
I
Dear Mr. Trevena:
Pursuant to our telephone conversation last week, I am enclosing a check -for-$178. w
Eighty-nine dollars of this check is to be used to pay the original County fees for a
subsurface investigation conducted by Murray & Associates in April, 1992. The remaining
$89 is for penalties imposed for not obtaining a permit prior to the initial investigation.
As principal owner of Murray & Associates, I apologize for the oversight. We were
unaware that a permit was needed for hand-auger type borings that did not penetrate the
water table. The investigation was not meant to circumvent County regulations, but merely
to provide the Langston's with an inexpensive indication of the extent of contamination at I
I their site.
I assure you that we are now fully aware of San Joaquin County regulations. We look
forward to working with the Division of Environmental Health on this and other projects.
Thank you for your understanding.
Si erely,
ent.S..Murray, Ph.D. T gr033
PAYMENT lp
RECEIVED
F E B 19 1993
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES
5051 Lexington Circle, Loomis, CA 95650 ENVIR0NM@l6AI6WAM DI4JISMA (916) 652-0464
