A <br /> southeast to northwest MTBE-in-soil profile shows that about 20 mg/kg of MTBE was assessed I <br /> between 25 and 35 feet bsg in the former tank area,which is at the base of and below the level that it <br /> was excavated; I have no control on the extent of the MTBE-impacted soil towards the northwest. <br /> An iso-concentration map showing the lateral distribution of MTBE in ground water(data from last <br /> monitoring event) illustrates the problem even more acutely; assuming ground water is flowing <br /> consistently northwest,we don't know how far approximately 120 g/kg of MTBE in water would <br /> migrate towards the northwest. <br /> Le me know if you want me to make any changes in our work plan.
