The water was placed in aboveground I
water storage tanks.processed per the system diagram provided to you on September 1, 1995, and
subsequently discharged to sanitary sewer.
As we completed the processing of the contaminated water the individual storage tanks were tilted,
rinsed and pumped into tank 94 (see site diagram of September 8, 1995). The silts were allowed to
settle from the rinse liquids and the waiter was processed, sampled, and discharged to sanitary sewer
as approved by city of Manteca, and City of Lathrop. The remains of the process are the
silts/sediments in the bottom of tank A. All pumpable liquids have been removed. Attached, please
find analytical data representative of this material. Due to the low levels observed Semce proposes
to situate the tank in such a marmex that the silts can flow from an opening in the tank. The material
would then be spread on-site and allowed to dry, Final cleaning of the storage tank would be
performed by rinsing_ All rinsate would be contained, and processed for disposal.
in as much as we are trying to demobilize all of the equipment from the site your earliest attention to
this matter would be appreciated, if you have any questions or need further information please
contact me at (209) 524-9653.
Sincerely,
Doug Flaming,
Operations Manager
E
TOTAL P.62
