Seventh St., Lathrop, CA 95330
Subject: Ground Water Discharge
Dear Michael,
This letter is intended to be a formal request for approval to discharge filtered ground water
to sanitary sewer. During excavation/remediation activities at the above referenced site
ground water has been pumped from the open excavation into temporary above ground
storage tanks. The stored water was then pumped through carbon canister filters into clean,
epoxy lined storage tanks (see attached diagram). This filtered water has been sampled and
analyzed per City of Manteca requirements for industrial waste water discharge for TPH-Gas,
BTEX, and Lead . The attached analysis reflects this water to be non-detected for all
analyzed constituents.
Upon approval from City of Manteca, and City of Lathrop Public Works Departments, Semco
proposes to discharge the filtered water from the 10,000 gallon tank storage tank to sewer.
Discharge rates will be monitored and regulated per city requirements. Upon discharge of the
initial filtered water other stored water will be filtered, sampled, and approval for discharge
will be requested on a tank by tank basis.
If you should have any questions please contact me at (209) 524-9653 or by digital pager at
(209) 520-6625.
Sincerely,
/Doug Flaming,
Semco
