REMEDIATION ALTERNATIVES <br /> a. Soil vapor extraction(SVE) <br /> i. Use existing DPE system,keep vacuum low(10-12 inches of Hg) <br /> ii. Use existing wells <br /> iii. PG&E <br /> b. Air Sparging& SVE <br /> i. Use existing DPE system,keep vacuum low(10-12 inches of Hg) <br /> ii. Use existing wells for SVE;need to install sparge points <br /> iii. PG&E <br /> c. Ground water pump and treat with discharge onto surface(sprinklers) <br /> i. Requires NPDES permit <br /> ii. Has this been done in SJ County? <br /> iii. Does this require City of Lathrop approval/involvement? <br /> iv. PG&E <br /> d. In-situ injections <br /> i. Requires"feasibility study"with the testing of groundwater to determine attenuation parameters(e.g., <br /> nitrate,methane, dissolved oxygen, oxidation reduction potential; total lab cost less than$1,000) <br /> ii. Feasibility study can be combined with a ground water monitoring event <br /> iii. Inject into wells(avoid injection point grouting issues); may need to install permanent inj. points <br /> iv. May require additional injections <br /> v. No PG&E, or remediation installation; no wait time for PG&E, as well. <br /> 2. PREPARE A REVISED FEASIBILITY STUDY REPORT(FS)&FINAL REMEDIATION PLAN(FRP) <br /> a. Evaluate the feasibility of the remediation alternatives presented above <br /> b. Evaluate the costs of the remediation alternatives <br /> c. Recommend final remediation plan <br /> d. Prepare the revised FS/FRP by 30 June 2009 <br /> 3. PROPOSED MODIFIED GROUND WATER MONITORING PROGRAM <br /> a. Institute a biannual program(2nd and 4'Quarters of a given year) <br /> i. Wells MW-1, MW-5,DPE-1 and DPE-2 <br /> ii. Analyze for TPH-g,BTEX, MTBE <br /> b. Remaining wells biennial(every two years) or prior to submittal of request for site closure <br /> i. Well(ND since):MW-2(December 2001),MW-3(December 2004),MW-4(December 2000),MW-6 <br /> (December 2000),MW-7 (December 2001), and MW-8 (December 2001). <br /> c.
