Hydrocarbon fuels - Components of fuels arae colorless liquids with strong aromatic <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-like odors. They are flammable and have low solubility in water. <br /> Exposure to these materials in excess of recommended exposure limits can cause mild eye, <br /> nose, and throat irritation and can produce a narcotic effect on the central nervous system. <br /> Symptoms of exposure at these concentrations include headache, nausea, drowsiness, <br /> dizziness,and loss of coordination.Certain components of gasoline(BTE&X etc.)are known <br /> or suspected carcinogens. <br /> The additional potential hazards include: Sli -tri -fall hazards noise heavy equipment i.e. Drill <br /> ria). vibration hazards, traffic hazards. tc. <br /> i <br /> 5.0.
