f <br /> I <br /> 2.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 2.1 Project History <br /> The Stockton Terminal and Eastern Railroad (ST&E) site is located at a street address of 1282 <br /> Shaw Road and is located outside the city limits of Stockton. This site is located in San Joaquin <br /> County, California(Figure 1). The site is contained within the Eastern San Joaquin groundwater <br /> subbasin (Figure 2). The Site is located immediately adjacent to the east side of the city of <br /> Stockton within the unincorporated portion of San Joaquin County(Figure 3) and is contained <br /> within the California Water Service Inc. service area. <br /> The ST&E was established in 1908 as a railroad that serves the cities of Stockton and Linden, <br /> California. ST&E is currently identified as a public utility serving twenty five rail customers in <br /> Stockton, California. The ST&E locomotive shop is located at 1282 North Shaw Road and was <br /> constructed in 1973 (Figure 4).
