It is highly recommended that PHS-EHD personnel on
site at the time of drilling be consulted prior to determining the number of soil samples
to be analyzed.
The placement of the screened interval for the onsite replacement monitoring well
should overlap the screened interval of MW-3. Please limit the bottom of the screened .
interval for the new well to no deeper than 67 feet below ground surface ('bgs). This
should overlap MW-3's top of screen at 65' bgs by two feet. The total length of the new `/'
well screened interval should not be more than 20 feet.
r _ ;U
The minimum time to allow grout material to set is 24 hours. Please ensure that well 7 6
development does not occur before this minimum time period.
The use of Oxygen Releasing Compound (ORC) in MW-2 and MW-3 may be
approved after all three new wells are installed and sampled for initial dissolved
oxygen and evaluated for the oxygen redox potential (DO and ORP). Low
hydraulic gradient values (i.e., 0.0052 feet per foot) are prevalent at this site and
adequate amounts of groundwater may not pass by these wells to effectively enhance
the natural bio-degradation effects these ORC bags are designed to do. Monitoring
points may be required at a later date. PHS-EHD will evaluate the ORC effectiveness
after consistent and non-interrupted quarterly reports are submitted by your consultant
and reviewed by PHS-EHD.
A Division or San Joaquin County Eiealth Care Services
