(Compass),to conduct <br /> continued operations of a groundwater and soil remediation-system on the property located at 1500 Shaw Road in <br /> Stockton,California(Site).A topographic site location map is presented on Figure 1. <br /> i <br /> Thesystem was installed to remediate impacted groundwater and soil.at the Site, in accordance with State of <br /> California regulations. The remediation system consists of air sparging(AS) and soil vapor extraction (SVE) applied A_L <br /> in unison to the impacted areas. The overall system includes 13 AS wells and five(5)SVE wells. A site details map, <br /> including the layout of the Remediation System,is presented on Figure 2. _ <br /> REMEDIATION SYSTEM OPERATIONS ANb MONITORING <br /> Antea Group has installed and operated an approved soil and groundwater remediation system at the site under <br /> the following timeline: - <br /> Feb-Mar 2004: A remediation system was installed at the site as indicated by the layout on Figure 2. The <br /> system consisted of air.sparging (AS) in conjunction with soil vapor. extraction, (SVE). Initially, a trailer- <br /> mounted internal combustion engine (ICE)�unit, which also destroyed hydrocarbon vapors recovered from <br /> the subsurface,:provided vacuum for-the SVE system. SVE system operations were initiated in March 2004. �t <br /> Dec 2005: Began installation of an upgraded configuration,which included an AS-SVE skid system,with vapor <br /> treatment via thermal/catalytic oxidizer. This configuration was selected to increase the capacity of the SVE ff <br /> flow rates, and in turn, allow full operation of all existing SVE wells. With all five SVE wells in operation, AS <br /> < operations were increased to facilitate the completion of the site remediation objectives. <br /> Jan 2006: Operations of the upgraded system were initiated.
