There was no odor noted, but a PID reading recorded 14 ppm. A sample was sealed and preserved as described earlier. The well was advanced to 70' ; drill cuttings were tan to buff clay as above. -Tb&_hole was cored from 70' to 72',; recovery consisted of 18" of very fine micaceous silty water sand, buff to tan, with a slight petroleum odor. A reading of 97 ppm was recorded with the PID meter. The bottom tube was sealed and Preserved using standard field procedures The hole was taken to 81' ; sediments consisted of soft, loose, water sand. EXHIBIT VII is a lithologic plot of the hole. The auger flights were pulled, and the hole enlarged to 10 1/4" for placing the casing. Blank & perforated threaded flush-joint 4" OD, sch. 40 casing was run, sand packed and sealed as shown on schematic diagram FjXHIBIT XI . Xa93 - The rig was moved and spotted on the location marked for MONITORI G WELL #2; clean 8 1/4" augers were advanced to 10' ; cutting consisted of black peaty loam and tan to brown clay. After angering to 30' , a core was taken from 30' to 32' ; recovery was 24" of buff to tan, silty, crumbly clay; slightly moist with a mottled appearance. There were no odors detected, but a reading of 11 ppm was measured with the PID meter. The sample at 31' was sealed and preserved as above. Augers were advanced to 40 ' , and a core w ' to A-2-!; recovery was 24" of tan to buff, silty micaceous clay as last above. There was no odor, but the PID meter gave a reading . of 12 ppm.
