PROBLEM ASSESSMENT REPORT
AND WORKPLAN FOR
SOIL CONTAMINATION INVESTIGATION
1504 Shaw Road,Stocktcn, CA
Prepared by
Wm. J. Hunter & Associates
PURPOSE OF WORK
A soil contamination investigation was recently conduc-.eco under a
workplan submitted by Jim Thorpe Oil , (dated September 79, 19920
for the purpose of resampling soil which had been returned to the
site after removal of a UST which contained gasoline. That work,
discussed in detail later , encountered very high levels of BTEX
and gasoline at the south end of the re-excavation. Due to space
and equipment constraints, it is proposed to attempt to define
the horizontal °s vertical limits of the contamination by the use
of an auger rig to place soil borings at selected locations to
allow examination and sampling the soil profiles as needed.
PROPERTY LOCATION AND USE
• The property 1s located near the end of Shaw Road, a deadend
frontage road parallel and adjacent to Highway 99 on the east.
The only access is from Fremont Street , to the south of the
property.
